A perfect Gibson Les Paul, in tribute to Gibson’s 120-year-history in 2014. In the traditional Gibson Cherry Sunburst finish, it is in immaculate condition. This guitar was bought in my store in 2014, put away, never played, and just brought back to me for someone to enjoy immensely. No trickery, no shenannigans, just all of the very much vaunted features of the original Les Pau Standard (including “GIBSON DELUXE” tuners), with the addition of the “120th ANNIVERSARY" logo engraved on its special banner 12th fret inlay, and the improved “Nashville-Style” Tune-o-Matic bridge. And maybe best of all, the neck on this guitar is pretty darn special in my book. First off, it's got that “shallow oval” contour, so sought after on mega-buck Gibsons only from about 1960, and better yet, the frets go al the way out to the edge of the fingerboard, a process that Gibson avoided doing forever in the interest of cutting production costs. This thing plays. That’s it, you don't need nuthin’ else, just the excitement of playing it, and playing it. All just gone over by us right here in our own shop and ready to rock ’n roll.
