Quite the solid and lovely early Gibson mandolin, from just after we got back from WW I. All thoroughly gone over in our own workshop and everything is quite tight. We’ve gone over the action too, have got the bridge, saddles, nut, and even the tuning machines adjusted just so, with a nice crisp feel to it. All tones are big and bold and supremely clear, as only one of these original Gibson oval-hole mandolins can have. Pickguard long gone but many folks prefer for there to not be one.
