1990 Cumpiano Custom 12 String
Now this is a true find. Bill Cumpiano is one of the finest classical guitar builders in America today and has had that reputation for decades. Back in the late 1980s, a customer came to us and asked who could build him a 12-string acoustic-electric guitar to match his Guild Songbird (Guild refused to do it), complete with a body made from a hollowed-out block of solid mahogany and with a solid spruce top. We turned to Cumpiano on his behalf and Bill did an absolutely magnificent job. Top-quality woods all around including ebony fingerboard and bridge, Genuine German-made Schaller tuners, nitro lacquer finish, and a beautiful flat-oval neck shape that can go on for days; active electronics, probably by Fishman. You won’t find anything else like this anywhere on the market, and having one of this ultra-high quality built today would have to cost upwards of $5000. Serious bargain of the year at only $2495 w/bag
