1920s-30s SS Stewart Soprano Uke

From the heyday of the ukulele craze, the 1920s-30s, this very cool SS Stewart soprano ukulele. Stewart was a top-of-the-line banjo company from Philadelphia, going back to the late 1800s and with both the facility and the know-how it was an easy transition to making ukes. With its all-mahogany body and rosewood fingerboard, it’s the perfect little ukulele for all occasions. It is in all original condition, including its friction tuning pegs, and plays as beautifully as it sounds. We sold this uke about twenty years ago to a woman who later moved to Singapore, and on a return visit here recently she stopped by with it, telling me that since her children, who she had entertained with it when they were little, were now grown and she wanted me to pass it on to someone who would enjoy it as much as she had. It still has its cardboard case, which was new when we last sold this uke but are no longer made, and everything has been beautifully kept. Enjoy it as the last owner did for only $495 w/ssc
